Rather, these pieces are created to let us think about the ancestors' prayer and wisdom and to evoke the sense of holiness, reverence, and peaceful mind.

Hiten series originated from Kusaba's passion and desire to draw something more beautiful, who was strongly impressed by the old murals of India and Dunhuang. And Kanon is a character devised by Kusaba with the image of Kannon in their childhood. Kanon series expresses how adorable and precious it is to live innocently.

The pieces in this group express the praise for nature's mystery, magnificence, gentleness, and harshness while showing gratitude for their making us alive.

The longing and seeking for the sparkles brought Kusaba to a new frontier, “Jizai”, or being and expressing at will.“The sparkle originated from the conflict between the light and the shadow or the in-between life and death is the very sparkle of life.”
